The Antica Casa Naldi rises on the foundations of a 14th century building situated closet o the walls in the centre of the medieval village Montecarlo, on a hilltop in Lucca area. From here you can easily reach the most important tuscan cities like Lucca, Pisa, Florence, the mountains of the Garfagnana and the Versilia coast (Carrara).
The house, recently restored, maintains tiled floors, stone walls, wooden beams and traditional furnishings. The bedrooms (double or triple) are spacious with en suite bathrooms and TV, very comfortable and clear, some of them with a view. At guests disposal the beautiful kitchen on the ground floor with the ancient stone sink and fireplace; from there is the access to the walls of the village with the marvellous panorama on the Val di Nievole hills.
Finally the tavern with its own court-yard, once it was the local chemist’s laboratory and it’s still conserving original niches and some outfit; it can be used for small meetings.
The Antica Casa Naldi is a piece of the “true Tuscany”, restful and charming.

L’ Antica Casa Naldi sorge sulle fondamenta di una casa del 14. secolo, situata lungo le mura nel centro del borgo medievale di Montecarlo, paese collinare tra i più belli della lucchesia, da cui è facile raggiungere in poco tempo le città d’arte toscane come Lucca, Pisa, Firenze, le montagne della Garfagnana e il mare della Versilia.
La casa, ristrutturata di recente, conserva ancora intatti il pavimento in cotto, i muri in pietra, i travicelli in legno e l’arredamento tradizionale. Le camere (doppie o triple) sono spaziose con bagno e TV, luminose ed accoglienti, alcune con vista. A disposizione degli ospiti la bella cucina a l pianterreno con l’antico acquaio in pietra e il caminetto; da qui l’accesso alle mura medievali del borgo con lo splendido panorama sulle colline della Val di Nievole.
Infine la taverna con il cortile, un tempo laboratorio del farmacista (lo speziale) con ancora intatte nicchie e alcune attrezzature, si presta per piccoli incontri. L’Antica Casa naldi è un angolo di autentica Toscana, tranquillo ed accogliente.

Das Antica Casa Naldi liegt mit seinen Grundmauern aus dem 14. Jh. direkt an der Stadtmauer, im Zentrum der mittelalterlichen Ortschaft Montecarlo, die auf einem der schönsten Hügel der luccheser Landschaft tront. Von hier erreicht man in kurzer Zeit Lucca, Pisa Florenz, die Bergwelt der Garfagnana und die Küste der Versilia (Carrara).

Das Haus ist im toskanischen Stile restauriert und bewahrt noch alte Cottoböden, Steinmauern und Balkendecken und die tradizionelle Einrichtung. Die Schlafzimmer (Doppel-oder Dreibett) sind geräumig mit Bad und TV, einige mit Ausblick. Die große, schöne Küche im Erdgeschoß, mit antikem Steinspülbecken und offenem Kamin, steht den Gästen zur Verfügung; von hier der Zugang zur Stadtmauer mit wunderbarem Ausblick auf das Val di Nievole Tal.
Die Tavern mit Zugang zum Innenhof, einst Labor des Drogeriemeisters (genannt “lo speziale) eignet sich gut für kleinere Meetings.
Das Antica Casa Naldi ist noch ein Stück “echter Toskana”, ruhig und charmant.
